Margo & Chris joined me first thing in the morning to catch the sunrise for their engagement portrait session in Irondequoit, New York.
Length of Dating: Two and a half years
Length of Engagement: Just over two years
How They Met:
We met in college when mutual friends introduced us. We had met months prior to dating but finally connected in December of 2015 after seeing each other at a pizza shop late one Saturday night, a few weeks after that night, we made our relationship official.
The Proposal Story:
Chris proposed on our celebratory trip to Florida after we graduated college. We were alone on the beach which was a special moment between the two of us that we cherish and talk about often. I knew all along that he was going to propose on that trip, I just wasn’t sure when he was going to do it. Chris doesn’t keep secrets well and he actually showed me the ring right away when we arrived at the condo where we were staying. It was just a waiting game after that!
The Engagement Ring:
I helped Chris pick out the ring. I had my eye set on this ring for over a year and would drop hints to him all the time. I still have the screenshots in my phone from when I would send him pictures of the ring from years ago. My favorite thing about the ring is how special it was for him to be able to get me exactly what I wanted, also the sparkle factor is REAL with this ring.
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
Chris and I had to make the difficult decision to postpone our reception to next year. We are still planning to get married on 10/10/20 with our close family and friends in attendance. We plan to share an intimate dinner party afterwards with them.
Margo: I am looking forward to being able to get married in front of our friends and family, and then the party afterwards! This will give us another whole year to plan our big party to celebrate with everyone!
Chris: I am looking forward to being able to enjoy the day with our close family and friends and celebrating with them.
