I decided I would take a break from weddings, switch things up and write a personal entry for the LP Journal! This post is all about my favorite beauty products. I’ve found as I’m getting older, I’m definitely demanding more from my beauty products. I want products that are cruelty-free, good for the environment, are made of natural ingredients, and are good for my skin. On top of this, I also want products that are easy to use and fit into my lifestyle, specifically when I want to look put together without spending 35 minutes on my makeup.
Here are a few of my favorite beauty products & why I love them:
Bioblender Eco Tools Makeup Sponge:
The main thing I LOVE about this sponge is that you can compost it after your done using it! There are other things about Eco Tools that I love; they are 100% cruelty-free, tree-free packaging, and they use recycled materials in their products! I haven’t noticed a difference between this sponge and other reusable makeup sponges I’ve used as well.
IT Cosmetic’s CC+ Cream with SPF 50+
Honestly, the best foundation I’ve found! It moisturizes your skin and has SPF 50! You can layer on this foundation for full coverage or lightly apply lightly for a more sheer coverage. Either way, it looks great. IT Cosmetics is 100% cruelty-free as a bonus. Another weird thing- I love the way this product smells.
Supergoop (Re)setting 100% Mineral Powder SPF 35
This is my favorite setting powder & sunscreen in one. I throw this in my camera bag for every wedding I photograph. It’s so easy to apply on the go, and it’s perfect for Summer when I don’t necessarily want to reapply a lotion sunscreen to my face. Cruelty-free & Reef safe.
Stila’s Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
This is my favorite eyeliner that I’ve been using for years! It’s easy to apply, and they have two versions; regular and thin. Cruelty-free.
LORAC PRO Palette 3
This is my favorite eyeshadow palette, and I own all of the Naked palettes. I love it so much I’ve gone through this palette three times! Out of all the palettes I’ve found, this one has colors I love. With some of the Naked palettes, I would use three shades and that was it. With this palette, I switch it up and use almost all of the shades. Cruelty-free.
