Near the small town of Livonia, nestled in between farmland, Anne & Kelly were married surrounded by their close friends and family. The couple was blessed with beautiful weather for their wedding celebration. Anne & Kelly were married in the St. Agnes Church in Avon, followed by their reception at the Avon Century Barn.
The Bride shared her favorite wedding day moment with me: “There are so many beautiful moments from our wedding day it’s hard to choose a favorite. I would have to say seeing my parent’s joy throughout the day. They mean the world to Kelly and I; seeing them so happy made my life complete. I would have to say that is tied with those church doors opening up and seeing my husband’s face; I loved that moment!”
Anne chose to wear two beautiful gowns on her day. One for the ceremony and one for the reception.
Her first dress was the ‘Louvienne Lela” from Lovely Bride. It featured a classic silhouette with a timeless and elegant style. This dress made a statement as Anne entered the church. As I was standing in the aisle capturing portraits, I could overhear guests talking about how beautiful this gown was and how graceful and timeless Anne looked in it!
Her second dress was the ‘Lola’ style, also from Lovely Bride. This was the gown that Anne wore as she was announced into the reception space; it was both sexy and sophisticated. This gown was adorned in beautiful hand-beaded detail and sparkled as Anne moved and danced around the reception space.
She shared a little bit about her choice to wear two gowns: “I was torn between which type of “bride” I wanted to be. Part of me wanted the super-sleeved sexy bride look, but the other part wanted that princess look. It was something I always knew I would be between when my day came. My mom and I had done some looking at Lovely Bride in Victor, New York; I always knew I wanted to go there. One of my friends in San Diego had gotten her Sarah Seven dress from there, and I loved it so much that I knew Lovely Bride would have a dress for me. When my mom and I got there, I knew I was in LOVE with the Lola gown. I tried that one first and just knew that it was going to be one of my gowns. We tried adding an overlay to it, but it just took away from the elegant beading. I then tried on a few others, my last gown I tried on was Lela. My mom started to cry; she said, “this is the one for the church. This is it. Your Dad is going to lose his mind.” I just had this feeling too. It felt like I was that Disney Princess.
Advice for Newly Engaged Couples: “My best advice is no matter how long and how detailed you plan your day, something will always not go according to plan. Embrace, don’t sweat it. At the end of the day, it is about your love, not the frills.”
