2023 Wedding Trends I Can’t Wait For This Wedding Season

One of the things I love most about weddings is how they bring together distinct elements to create a unique experience for the couple and guests as they celebrate. I’m predicting we’ll see 2023 wedding trends that feature even more of these elements. From dream-like vision to reality, food, fashion, music, location, and decor can create something truly beautiful and bespoke.

As a wedding creative, I love that your wedding can become anything you want it to be. There is no ‘right’ way to do things; there’s no longer a ‘cookie cutter’ aesthetic that all weddings are trying to achieve, and it’s wonderful.

My favorite weddings are the ones that take guests on a customized experience and share a compelling story of who the couple truly is.

Here are some 2023 wedding trends I can’t wait to see

Mix & Match Wedding Party Looks

I love the idea of wedding party looks that aren’t identical, allowing each individual in the wedding party to wear a look that compliments their personal style. As a photographer, I love how mixed & match wedding party looks photograph; there’s more visual variety!

Dramatic Cakes

A dramatic cake can serve as a lovely centerpiece in your reception space. This beautiful cake was featured on The Knot’s 2023 Wedding Cake Trends.

Multi-Day Weddings (2023 Wedding Trend & Beyond)

Why spend one day celebrating your wedding when you can spread the celebration over an entire weekend? With multi-day weddings, you can spend more quality time with all of your loved ones. Welcome parties, bridal brunches, and after-parties are all great ways to extend the celebration. I hope this 2023 wedding trend is a lasting one.

Sustainability (My Favorite 2023 Wedding Trend)

This is a wedding trend I hope to see more of in 2023 and beyond. There are so many simple changes you can make for a more sustainable celebration.
> Avoid Single Use Plastic
> Avoid Balloons In Your Decor
> Work With A Vendor Team Who Values Sustainability

Multiple Wedding Looks

Your ceremony and reception might have very different vibes. I love when a client chooses to wear different outfits for different aspects of their day. If you fall in love with two different wedding looks- why not wear both?
