Lindsay & Brackett joined me at the George Eastman Gardens & Mansion at sunset for their May engagement session. Towards the end of their session, we were joined by their loveable rescue pup, Hobey, who is named after Hobart William Smith College, where the couple originally met over 8 years ago.
The grounds of the George Eastman Gardens were as beautiful as ever. The manicured courtyard and stone pillars made for a romantic and intimate backdrop for their engagement portraits.
Lindsay shared how Brackett incorporated both of their families in their proposal in Boston:
“I thought I was going home to Boston to visit my family since I hadn’t seen them in 3 months. We had dinner plans to meet my family at Davios on the Boston harbor. When we arrived, the sunset was AMAZING. I told Brackett I wanted to take pictures for an Instagram story before we went in. I walked down to the dock to take a picture, and when I turned around, Brackett was on one knee. I was completely surprised! My sisters all came out from behind a building with champagne. At the restaurant, we had a private room where Brackett’s parents and sister surprised me as well by coming from Rochester to celebrate! It was the best weekend ever!”
Brackett was able to surprise Lindsay with a timeless engagement ring:
“I told Brackett years before we got engaged that I like simple rings and that I trusted him with whatever he would choose. With a little input from my 3 sisters and his Aunt, Brackett designed the PERFECT ring and exceeded my expectations!”
